Description

Soft and comfortable, this 100% cotton bed linen is made using an innovative spinning technique that helps you maintain an even body temperature. 100% Cotton The world’s most widely used natural fibre, versatile cotton makes the perfect bed linen; cool, lightweight, soft and breathable. 400 Thread count This number refers to the number of threads per square inch. Typically, the higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the feel. Temperature balancing This Hygro technology bed linen is made using high-quality cotton, specially spun to create a hollow core that traps air and wicks away moisture, helping maintain an even, comfortable sleeping temperature. We recommend washing this bed linen at 40ºC but it can be washed at 30ºC. Lower temperatures save energy, helping to be kinder to the environment. Worth knowing: Duvet covers and pillowcases are available to purchase separately, and not in sets. Have you thought about sheeting? Shop here.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bedding set for its combination of timeless quality and practical comfort. The 400-thread count cotton offers a smooth, crisp feel that’s perfect for all seasons, while the temperature balancing feature ensures a comfortable night's sleep without overheating. It works well in a variety of interiors, from minimalist and Scandi-inspired spaces to cosy, neutral bedrooms. For styling, consider pairing it with textured cushions or a soft throw in complementary colours to add depth. Simple, clean bedlinen like this looks great when mixed with natural materials and pared-back accessories, creating an inviting yet effortlessly stylish look that stays versatile over time.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
