Description

Small songbirds perch in the trees on this charming ready-made roller blind. It's a blackout blind which means it eliminates light and gives complete privacy. You can get a sound night’s sleep and not be disturbed by the early rising sun in the summer months. Key features: Can be installed either inside or outside the window recess, to the wall or ceiling Can be standard or reverse rolled. Standard gives a close fit to the window, helping eliminate light. Reverse brings the material forward over the roll which conceals it and creates space between the blind and window Chain mechanism can be attached on the left or right-hand side, without affecting the way the blind is rolled Width can be cut to size Supplied with easy fit universal brackets Includes safety devices to keep children safe Warm in winter, cool in summer As the blackout lining on this blind blocks out sunlight it helps keep your room cool as well as dark. This 3 layer blackout coating also adds an extra layer of insulation, giving the blind thermal properties which aren’t found on non-blackout blinds. It protects against both heat loss and heat gain, regulating the temperature of your room so you’re kept warm in winter and cool in summer. Worth knowing... The width stated in our product specifications is the total width of the blind including mechanisms and brackets. The width of the fabric alone will be a few centimetres less than this. Safety warning Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product. To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children - cords may become wrapped around a child's neck Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop More information on child safety can be found on our

Our Stylist Says

I love this blackout roller blind for its versatile colour and practical benefits. The greige tone makes it easy to incorporate into both modern and traditional interiors, providing a neutral backdrop that works well with a variety of colour schemes and patterns. The blackout feature is perfect for bedrooms or media rooms, offering excellent light control and helping to improve sleep quality. Styling-wise, pairing it with light wood or soft pastel accessories can create a calm, balanced space, while layering with patterned cushions or textured curtains can add visual interest. It's a great choice for those seeking a functional, understated window treatment that enhances the overall aesthetic without dominating the room.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
