Description

Inspired by the beautiful Longstock water gardens where there is both planting and history, our Leckford bedding captures the fresh, airy and colourful surroundings which grow season after season. The pattern is a fresh and updated take on classic floral motifs, while the colours - neutrals, darks and brights - work seamlessly together. And with a plain reverse, you've more styling options come bed making time. The pure cotton construction is breathable and helps to regulate your temperature to keep you cool throughout the night, meaning you won't be disturbed by feeling too hot or too cold. Reimagining heritage style with a fresh twist, Modern Country is inspired by the beautiful gardens at the Leckford Estate, our working farm in Hampshire. Discover painterly florals and botanical prints in subtle shades, as well as a range of contemporary farmhouse furniture. The single set comes with one standard pillowcase, while the double, king and super king sets come with two standard pillowcases. Have you thought about sheeting? Shop. Our Stylist Says

I love this duvet set for its crisp, clean aesthetic combined with a subtle floral pattern that adds a touch of softness without overpowering the space. It’s versatile enough to suit both contemporary and traditional interiors, especially those with a neutral or pastel colour palette. For styling tips, pair it with textured throws or cushions in muted tones to keep the look fresh and cosy. It works particularly well in bedrooms that aim for a calm, restful vibe, and since it’s made from soft, silky fabric, it’s both practical and comfortable for everyday use. Keep accessories minimal for a streamlined look or add a few colourful accents to make it more lively.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
