Description

Product Information The Siesta sofa bed has a simple pull-out mechanism to convert into a small double bed. Cushions are fixed for a tidy look. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shape This sofa bed has a foam mattress. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Sits like a sofa, sleeps like a bed When assembled as a sofa the seats are supported by flexible webbing, the same as traditional sofas. Using a 2-fold mechanism it opens into the bed, which is supported by beech slats much like many beds. This combination of webbing and slats means it's not a case of either a comfortable sofa or a comfortable bed. You get both. It's the little things At John Lewis & Partners we care about our furniture; how it's designed, the materials used and the people who make it. That's why every detail is carefully considered, with more than 20 quality checks, to ensure you're as proud of it as we are. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for this piece of furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

The Siesta sofa bed is a great choice for someone seeking functionality without compromising on style. Its Saga grey fabric offers versatility and works well in modern or minimalist interiors, adding a calm and neutral tone to any room. I love that it incorporates both a chaise end and storage, making it ideal for multi-purpose spaces or smaller rooms needing clever storage solutions. For styling, pair it with textured cushions and a soft throw to soften the look, or complement it with metallic or wooden accents for a more contemporary vibe. Its slim metal legs lend a light, airy feel, so it works particularly well in sleek, urban interiors or contemporary open-plan spaces. Remember, this piece balances practicality and style, making it perfect for versatile living areas or guest rooms needing an adaptable sofa bed.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
