Product Information Stylish and functional, the Show-Wood sofa bed converts from sofa to bed with an easy clic-clac mechanism. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shape The seat cushions of this sofa, which become the mattress when folded down, are made of foam. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Simply unfold and lock This sofa bed has a 'clic-clac' mechanism, so-called because of the locking sound it makes when you convert it between bed and sofa. The model easily folds from one to the other; simply release the locks and fold or unfold. Once in place, the 'clic-clac' sound reassures you that everything is locked into place. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
