Easy to maintain, the furniture is robust and each single chair can withstand a weight of 20 stone (127kg), exceeding the industry standard. The coffee table has a glass top, tempered for strength. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
