Description

The Oliver range comes in a wide choice of modular pieces and complete sofa options so you can choose the perfect sofa for your space. A mattress that will respond to your every movement This sofa bed has a pocket sprung mattress which is only slightly less deep than a standard double bed mattress. The springs are individually sewn into their own fabric pockets which is what makes the mattress so responsive as you change position in the night. Suitable for regular use it provides a peaceful night's sleep. Sits like a sofa, sleeps like a bed This sofa bed has a 2-fold folding mechanism. When assembled as a sofa the seats are supported by flexible webbing which is the same as traditional sofas. Unfold once and it opens into the bed, which is supported by beech slats much like many beds. This combination of webbing and slats means it's not a case of either a comfortable sofa or a comfortable bed. You get both. Pattern placement We have a wide range of fabrics for you to choose from as part of our Design Your Own service. There's a spectrum of colours and textures, as well as a mix of plain and patterned designs. If you choose one of our patterned fabrics just be aware that the image above is there as a guide and may not be representative of the finished item. We've reproduced the product as best we can but the pattern placement may vary. It's the little things At John Lewis & Partners we care about our furniture; how it's designed, the materials used and the people who make it. That's why every detail is carefully considered, with more than 20 quality checks, to ensure you're as proud of it as we are. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this sofa bed for its clean, versatile design and practicality. It works especially well in modern and minimalist interiors, but can also sit comfortably in a cosy, eclectic space. Its neutral fabric makes it easy to style with colourful cushions or textured throws to add personality. To keep it looking fresh, opt for a few decorative items on nearby tables or shelves that complement the sofa’s simple aesthetic. When styling, consider using the sofa bed as a focal point in guest rooms or family living spaces, where its dual function maximises space without compromising on comfort or style. A great choice for those who want a functional yet understated piece.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
