Description

Wonderfully warm with a luxurious drape, this duvet is filled with highly insulating 80% Hungarian goose down and just 20% feather. The Nomite™ mark means this duvet is suitable for people with dust mite allergies. Our versatile all-seasons duvets feature two duvets with different togs, which can be joined together or taken apart to provide the perfect level of warmth throughout the year. More Sustainably Sourced The cotton in this bedding has been produced in line with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). This is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to ‘make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector’s future. BCI works with partners around the world such as WWF, Solidaridad and Cotton Connect to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. By buying cotton products from John Lewis & Partners, you’re supporting the training of these farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of the most harmful chemicals and apply principles of fair and decent work. All of our natural bedding suppliers provide us with a guarantee that their feather and down is sourced only as a by-product. In addition, they're monitored to ensure they practise the highest standards of animal welfare. Made by us at our textile factory in Lancashire Since 1953, our expert Partners have designed and manufactured a range of high-quality textiles at our UK factory, Herbert Parkinson. This includes our naturally filled bedding and Made to Measure 7-day service for curtains, blinds and cushions. Combining traditional handmade processes with state-of-the-art technology, our skilled Partners see each product through the entire creation process, ensuring it meets the design and quality standards we’re known for. We want you to be as proud of it as we are. Herbert Parkinson also offers a range of bespoke services, so if you can’t see exactly what you’re looking for or have specific requirements, do visit one of our shops and a Partner will be able to advise. 233 Thread Count This number refers to the density of threads per square inch: generally, higher thread counts mean a softer and smoother feel. About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
