Description

This base of this sleek desk lamp features a wireless charging pad, so it's a really useful addition to your work desk or bedside table. Simply place your compatible, Qi certified device on the 5W charging pad and enjoy safe, straightforward charging without any messy cables. We like it's modern, Mid-Century design, which features an adjustable cone-shaped shade so you can direct light exactly where you need it. Worth knowing Your device will begin charging on contact with the pad. If your phone case contains metal or magnetic material, you'll need to remove it. If not, it will begin charging straightaway. Charge your device with three simple steps 1. Plug-in your lamp to power up the Qi charging pad in the base 2. Line up the middle of your smartphone with the centre of the charging pad. Your device will indicate the charging process has begun by emitting an audible beep or green light 3. Sit back, continue working or relax while your smartphone charges wirelessly Compatible devices Apple i. Products using the Qi standard must be tested rigorously to help ensure safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Only products that have passed these independent laboratory tests can use the Qi logo and are considered Qi Certified.

Our Stylist Says

I love this desk lamp for its sleek mid-century design with a modern twist, thanks to the wireless charging feature. Its grey finish and subtle gold accents make it versatile enough to suit a variety of interiors, from contemporary to minimalist and even Scandi-inspired schemes. It’s a practical choice for a workspace or bedside table, providing gentle, adjustable lighting while eliminating clutter with its wireless charging pad. When styling, consider placing it on a desk with clean lines or pairing it with textured accessories for a balanced look. It works especially well in neutral-toned schemes or paired with wooden or matte black accents to highlight its understated elegance.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
