Description

Our Mid-Century Sweep bed frame has a sleek, retro-inspired shape. Its streamlined profile marries soft curves and sharp lines, resting on tapered wooden legs. Sprung slats in the base provide additional support for you and your mattress. Built with Smart Slats This bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Our Band A fabric, Saga is woven with man-made fibres, making it exceptionally durable and versatile. Our Band A fabric, Topaz is woven to offer a linen-effect feel, and available in a versatile palette. Our Band B fabric, Erin is woven with man-made fibres to create a beautifully soft yarn. This tactile, velvet-style chenille fabric exhibits a two-tone look in different lights. Our Band B fabric, Opulence offers a luxurious, soft-touch. This velvet-feel fabric is available in a rich colour palette. Our Band B fabric, Mole is a woven wool-blend that's soft and cosy. Pilling and bobbling may occur naturally over time. Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen is durable, resilient and versatile, woven from man-made and natural fibres Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love the mid-century vibe of this bed frame-its clean lines and understated elegance make it a versatile statement piece. It works particularly well in minimalist, Scandi, or retro-inspired interiors where simplicity and functionality are key. Practical styling tips include pairing it with crisp white or neutral bedding to highlight its elegant silhouette, or adding textured cushions and throws for a cosy touch. To keep the aesthetic balanced, consider a sleek bedside table and a modern lamp, which will complement the frame’s tapered legs and polished look. This bed is ideal for creating a calm, understated bedroom that still feels stylish and thoughtfully designed.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
