Description

Made from basswood and painted in a variety of earth tones and neutral colours, these Venetian blinds are made according to your requirements to make sure they're perfect for your space. Venetian blinds give you complete control over the privacy and amount of light you let into your room at any time, by tilting the slats and raising or lowering the blind itself. This makes them particularly good for rooms you spend a lot of time in throughout the day, such as a home office, as you can adjust the blinds to prevent glare whilst maximising light as the sun moves during the day. Key features: Can be made with a string laddercord or herringbone or flat-weave tape Tassel colour can be colour-matched to the slats, or you can choose from chrome, matt nickel, brushed brass and black Includes safety devices to keep children safe Size restrictions: Minimum size: W40 x Drop 40cm Maximum size: W240 x Drop 300cm The price shown is for a blind measuring W60 x Drop 160cm. Our Stylist Says

I love these wooden Venetian blinds for their classic, timeless appeal and versatile style. They work particularly well in contemporary and traditional interiors, adding a touch of sophistication while providing precise light control. They’re a great choice for living rooms or bedrooms, where you want the option to filter natural light without sacrificing privacy. Practical styling tips include pairing them with neutral colour schemes to keep the space bright and airy, or contrasting with darker walls for a more bold look. For a softer finish, consider layering with sheer curtains or pairing them with modern accessories to create a balanced, polished aesthetic.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
