Description

Craftsmanship at its finest. With an air of classical nostalgia, our Louis high end bed frame is made from solid white oak in a natural lacquer and made using traditional joinery techniques. Its aged finish brings out the varying patterns and warm tones of the wood and upholstery on the headboard and foot end honours an authentic period style. We've also added supportive sprung slats to the base. It's all the little details that help to make this bed frame a focal point in your bedroom. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this high-end sleigh bed frame for its timeless elegance and craftsmanship. The oak finish offers a warm, natural look that pairs beautifully with both classic and contemporary interiors. It works well in schemes that incorporate neutral tones and soft textiles, adding a touch of traditional refinement without feeling fussy. Practical styling tips include contrasting soft, cosy bedding or layering with textured throws and cushions to create a welcoming feel. It’s also versatile enough to be upgraded with upholstered headboards or decorative bedbases for a more personalised touch. Overall, this piece acts as a centrepiece that can anchor both understated and more eclectic bedrooms with ease.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
