Description

If you're desperate to kick back with a hot drink and a book, or ready to ditch the office chair and migrate to the sofa, this side table makes it so much more practical. It's designed to slide underneath your sofa and has a sturdy metal frame for stability. The surface is a treat for the eyes, made from marble in a rich green shade that complements the antique-brass metal and honours classic Art-Deco style. Durable, easy-to-clean and totally unique, as each marble slab has natural veins and variations. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table because of its sophisticated blend of materials-marble top paired with a brass frame, it instantly elevates any space. The green marble adds a touch of colour without overpowering, making it versatile enough for both contemporary and more traditional interiors. It works particularly well in mid-century modern or luxe minimal settings, but can also add a refined touch to eclectic or boho schemes. Practical styling tips include using it to display a statement lamp, a small plant, or a few favourite books. Its narrow profile makes it ideal for compact spaces or as an accent piece beside a sofa or armchair, offering both functionality and style with ease.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
