Please remember: Quilts, duvets and pillows are not suitable for children under 12 months due to the risk of overheating. The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation who exists to ‘make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector's future. BCI works with partners around the world such as WWF, Solidaridad and Cotton Connect to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. By buying cotton products from John Lewis, you're supporting the training of these farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of the most harmful chemicals and apply principles of fair and decent work.

Our Stylist Says

I love this duvet set for its playful yet adaptable design - the koala print adds a touch of fun that works particularly well in nursery or kids’ bedrooms, but the neutral colours make it easy to incorporate into a variety of interiors. It’s ideal for creating a calm, cosy space, especially in neutral or pastel schemes. When styling, I recommend pairing it with simple, solid-coloured accessories to let the print stand out, or adding cosy textured cushions to introduce some tactile interest. For a more mature look, you could layer it with soft greys or muted colours to create a balanced, relaxed vibe. It’s a practical choice for any child’s room, combining comfort, style, and practicality.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
