Description

Our Henley garden or patio parasol is operated by an easy wind-up mechanism with six locking positions and a tilt adjustment for selecting the right angle of protection from the sun. It's made with a durable aluminium frame and a shower-resistant canopy offering UV50+ sun protection. With 360-degree free-arm rotation, the base doesn't need to be moved when raising and lowering the parasol. When not in use or in windy weather we recommend you close the parasol down. It comes with a weatherproof night cover. Fill the base with sand and water to weigh it down in your chosen location in the garden. Make sure that you're happy with your parasol's location before filling the base. Key features: Wind-up mechanism with six locking positions Tilt adjustment UV50+ sun protection and shower-resistant polyester canopy Aluminium pole Parasol base included 50cm x 50cm square Weatherproof night cover included Good to know: The parasol is designed for sun shade protection only. Our Stylist Says

I really like the John Lewis & Partners Henley parasol for its versatile, contemporary look and practical design. The natural and olive tones help it blend seamlessly into a relaxed outdoor space, whether that’s a modern patio, a coastal-inspired terrace, or even a rustic garden retreat. Its freestanding style offers flexibility when arranging furniture and the 3.5m span provides ample shade, making it ideal for larger dining or lounging areas. Styling-wise, pairing it with wicker or teak furniture and adding some neutral cushions or throws can create a cohesive, inviting look. Practical tips include positioning it over dining zones or lounging spots and using a heavy base, like the one supplied, to ensure stability during breezy weather. Overall, it’s a functional yet stylish piece that enhances the usability and aesthetic of any outdoor setting.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
