Description

A classic two-seater Henley garden bench with a wrought iron frame, an iron-grey coloured mesh seat and back, and a tough all-weather finish. The bench cushion is not included and is sold separately. Elegant and sturdy, the John Lewis & Partners Henley by KETTLER range is made from wrought iron and steel, with a hard-wearing and enhanced Thermoguard+ coating to prevent rusting. The wrought iron frames are coated at 350-degrees Celsius in a mixture of polyester and aluminium to create a tough iron-grey finish that's seven times thicker than paint. Specially developed for outdoor conditions, the coating offers excellent weather protection. This range of garden furniture can withstand the elements and, apart from the cushions, can stay outdoors all year round. It's low maintenance and only requires an occasional wash with mild soapy water. For durability and strength, the range's thick gauge steel mesh surfaces are welded directly to the frames rather than spot-welded. All nuts and bolts are stainless steel for weather-resistant longevity. The range comes with a five-year anti-rust guarantee. Our Stylist Says

I love this bench for its sleek, contemporary design and durable iron grey finish, making it versatile enough to suit a range of settings. It works particularly well in modern or minimal gardens, urban balconies, or even stylish indoor conservatories when paired with other metallic or neutral-toned furnishings. To style it effectively, consider adding soft cushions or throws in natural fibres or muted colours for comfort without compromising the clean look. Its understated design also allows it to complement more eclectic arrangements, providing a functional yet minimal focal point. Practical tips include positioning it under a shaded pergola or beside a feature plant to create a welcoming garden nook - perfect for relaxing or entertaining guests.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
