Description
This formal nest of 3 tables is made from melia oak solids and pippy oak lacquered, hand-polished with wax lacquer, and would be a wonderful addition to your living room, dining room, bedroom or hallway. Alternatively, split the tables between rooms - perfect for a lamp of a vase of flowers. Pippy oak features small, tight clusters of knots, which appear sporadically in the growth of the tree. This feature is highly valued by master craftsmen for its decorative appearance. Melia ash is a fast growing tree, taking only 20-25 years to mature, and has been used for its stable and durable qualities. The cane used in Hemingway is natural and handmade. This elegant furniture is inspired by the formal yet practical look of the late 19th century Arts and Crafts movement. Each piece in the Hemingway range is made from melia oak solids and pippy oak lacquered, stained a rich deep colour, and hand-polished with wax unusual. For a traditional finish, doors and drawers are finished with antiqued brass knob handles. The Hemingway range features a beautifully distressed finish, which makes each piece utterly unique to its owner. Please note: not all our ranges are on display in our shops.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
