This dining chair is made from solid ash and pippy oak veneers. With formal oval back, delicate turned feet, and plump upholstery on the seat and backrest.;Finished with cream-coloured fabric, these chairs are a perfect accompaniment to the Hemingway extending dining tables.;Pippy oak features small, tight clusters of knots, which appear sporadically in the growth of the tree. This feature is highly valued by master craftsmen for its decorative appearance. Melia ash is a fast growing tree, taking only 20-25 years to mature, and has been used for its stable and durable qualities.;This elegant furniture is inspired by the formal yet practical look of the late 19th century Arts and Crafts movement. Each piece in the Hemingway range is made from melia oak solids and pippy oak veneers, stained a rich deep colour, and hand-polished with wax lacquer. For a traditional finish, doors and drawers are finished with antiqued brass knob handles.;The Hemingway range features a beautifully distressed finish, which makes each piece utterly unique to its owner.
I love the Hemingways as a versatile dining chair that adds a timeless elegance to any space. Its neutral cream upholstery makes it easy to pair with various table styles and colour schemes, from classic wood tones to contemporary finishes. It works especially well in both traditional and shabby-chic interiors, where its vintage-inspired design can really shine, but it also pairs nicely with more modern settings for an eclectic look. For styling tips, consider layering with textured placemats, colourful cushions, or even a cosy throw to create a welcoming dining environment. Its classic frame also lends itself to being easily mixed and matched with other chairs for an eclectic table setting or used as a stand-alone statement piece.
