Description

The base of this lamp is designed with wireless charging technology. Simply place your compatible, Qi certified device on the 5W charging pad and enjoy safe, practical charging without any messy cables. We like how the lamp has a modern, yet Mid-Century style and it's available in two finishes. The dome-shaped shade can be adjusted so you can direct light exactly where you need it, making it a practical choice for your work desk or bedside table. Worth knowing Your device will begin charging on contact with the pad. If your phone case contains metal or magnetic material, you'll need to remove it. If not, it will begin charging straightaway. Charge your device with three simple steps 1. Plug-in your lamp to power up the Qi charging pad in the base 2. Line up the middle of your smartphone with the centre of the charging pad. Your device will indicate the charging process has begun by emitting an audible beep or green light 3. Sit back, continue working or relax while your smartphone charges wirelessly Compatible devices Apple i. Our Stylist Says

I love the Hector desk lamp for its sleek, contemporary design that combines form and function seamlessly. Its minimalist aesthetic makes it versatile for a variety of interiors, from modern workspaces to Scandinavian-inspired parlours. The wireless charging feature is a real plus, especially in cluttered desktops, offering practical convenience. Style it on a light wood or neutral-toned desk to let its metallic accents pop, or pair it with other understated metal accessories for a cohesive look. For added visual interest, place it alongside green plants or textured textiles - it’s a smart, stylish choice for both home offices and bedside tables.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
