Description

It's the modern country aesthetic that sells this TV stand sideboard, which is built from high-quality timbers using the best crafting techniques. There's plenty of space for media consoles in the two cupboard sections, which have an adjustable shelf inside and a hole at the back to feed cables through. It's made from a combination of acacia wood, MDF and oak with natural rattan adding visual lightness to the front of the doors. The frame is painted to give your space an accent of colour, but we've kept the surface natural for the classic look. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Hatch TV stand for its versatile and contemporary style, blending a rich navy blue with natural rattan detailing that adds texture and visual interest. It’s perfect for modern or coastal-inspired interiors, offering a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe. Practical tips include using the top surface for minimal decor or a statement lamp, while the internal storage is ideal for media accessories, books, or everyday essentials. Its clean lines and colours also make it easy to pair with other furniture pieces, whether you’re styling a living room or a media corner. Just keep the styling simple and let its colours do the talking.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
