Description

We've designed our Estate side table to make your living room a more functional space. The solid iron frame can slide under the side of your armchair or sofa and the surface top is made from natural, hard-wearing wood with a rustic, parquet pattern. Its ideal when you want to keep a good book nearby. Want to see it first?. You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. If you do plan on doing this we recommend giving us a call on 03452 661805 as not all our ranges are on display in our shops. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this side table because of its clean, minimalist design and natural wood finish, which adds warmth to any living space. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandi-inspired interiors, where its simple lines complement neutral palettes and understated decor. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a small lamp, a few favourite books, or a plant to create a inviting vignette. Its compact size makes it versatile for beside a sofa or bed, providing both functionality and visual interest without overwhelming the space. Overall, it’s a stylish and practical addition for those who appreciate understated, quality pieces.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
