A round garden bistro table from our Dante range, made with a sophisticated curved design and a tempered glass top for strength. Our Dante range of handwoven furniture is weather-resistant and suitable for gardens and conservatories. In a traditional style, the synthetic wicker has a natural finish and is woven onto metal frames for durability and easy maintenance. Dante round wicker is a high-specification resin requiring an intricate hand-woven technique, taking days to produce to the finest quality. The majority of our furniture ranges have been hand woven using a synthetic wicker. The thinner the weave, the longer it takes for the skilled workers to complete. All weave types are durable so they’ll last throughout the seasons All woven outdoor furniture is UV protected so it will not fade in direct sunlight All woven outdoor furniture is easy to maintain, simply wipe clean using warm water Flat A weave of various widths which offers incredible value for money Half round More detailed with a 3D effect, the half round is a round weave in half which displays a wicker appearance on the top and hollowed underside Double half round A double strand of half round, this is a wider width of weave which achieves an expensive appearance Round weave A very tight weave which is available in various widths, from 2mm to 5mm Rope A selection of our ranges have been made using rope. The yarn is made up of 10,000 (approx) woven strands with a double core for extreme strength, does not attract mould even if wet for a long time and is UV resistant.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
