Description

Comfortable yet supportive, this Classic Sprung mattress is a great choice for your baby. Ensuring a good night's sleep for your baby in the early years is key to their growth and development (and dare we say it, your sanity). With wonderful features like breathable and supportive baby safe fibres, natural anti-allergenic properties and a firm but comfortable sprung base, this cot mattress helps ensure that your baby gets the good quality sleep that they need. The firm sprung base will ensure your little one will be well supported as they sleep while the soft-touch, the knitted cover provides better airflow to help keep your baby at a comfortable, safe temperature. Plus the baby-safe fibre interior makes the mattress breathable for your peace of mind. For a healthier, cleaner sleep surface, this cot mattress is treated with Actipro. 100% natural, Actipro helps guard against allergens - ideal if your baby has asthma or allergies. Ever practical, there's no need to worry about those inevitable accidents thanks to the removable cover. The cover can be zipped off and machine washed up to 60°C, whilst the waterproof, wipeable PVC cover protects the mattress core. Key Features: Perfect for babies from birth up to 5 years old Firm and comfortable sprung base Breathable and supportive baby-safe fibre Soft-touch, breathable knitted cover Natural Actipro treatment protects against allergens Anti-allergenic - ideal for babies with allergies or asthma Waterproof, wipeable cover keeps the mattress core clean and makes it easy to manage accidents Single-sided - no need to turn Easy to keep clean and fresh - cover is machine washable at 60°C Good things to note when buying your mattress: Always check the mattress size you’ve bought is the correct one for the size of your cot/cotbed before removing from the packaging. Please ensure to always store the mattress flat or in the cot/cotbed, not upright. Due to the nature of shipping, (once the packaging has been removed and safely disposed of) please allow 24-48 hours for the mattress to settle before use. Please check that any fitted sheets used are the correct size for the mattress. Sheets that are too tight may compress the mattress, leaving a larger than is safe gap between the mattress and the cot. This also applies to sheets that may have shrunk in the wash. Always position your mattress in the centre of your cot so that there is no more than a 30mm gap between the cot and the mattress on the side, top, or bottom, once it has fully expanded. This allows the mattress to settle in use and leaves space for bedding. A gap on any side under 30mm is considered safe and acceptable.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
