Description

Our contemporary Chunky Weave range is designed by Partners at our in-house Design Studio. The garden and conservatory furniture features rope-like vertical lines woven onto sturdy frames. Easy to maintain, the weather-resistant range has lightweight yet robust aluminium frames and an attractive curved synthetic weave. The chair frame for this design has been tested to withstand a weight of up to 17 stone (110kg) per chair. Seating cushions and two backrest scatter cushions per chair ensure comfortable support. Make sure you bring in the cushions, which are resistant to light rain showers only. Good to know: The range is durable and for outdoor use all year round. As a precaution, we recommend you cover the furniture during adverse weather. Key features: Pair of garden lounge chairs Robust weather-resistant aluminium frames Synthetic rope-like design Fully assembled for immediate use Shower-resistant seat cushions and backrest scatter cushions Team them with furniture from our Chunky Weave range Want to see it first? Our Stylist Says

I love these garden lounge chairs for their modern, chunky weave design which adds texture and visual interest to outdoor spaces. Their versatile grey colour makes them easy to incorporate into a variety of styles, from contemporary to coastal or even minimalist interiors. They work well as statement pieces in a shaded courtyard, on a patio, or within a conservatory set-up. For styling, I recommend pairing them with neutral or patterned cushions to enhance comfort and personalise the look. Practical tips include ensuring they’re positioned in a shaded area to prolong their lifespan, and using weatherproof cushions or covers when not in use. Their sturdy yet inviting appearance makes them ideal for relaxing outdoor seating, blending function with style effortlessly.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
