Description

We've designed this freestanding tallboy storage cabinet with a sustainable edge. It's made from a combination of solid bamboo, known for its lightweight and fast-growing characteristics, and MDF in a natural or stained finish. A practical option for your bathroom essentials, there are shelves inside the cupboard section and additional shelves above. Slatted detailing on the door lends a modern accent to the design. More about bamboo Bamboo is considered to be one of the most renewable and readily available raw materials in the world. Incredibly versatile and durable, it's the world's fastest growing plant and can be re-harvested every 3-5 years, in comparison to certain hardwoods that can only be harvested every 50 years. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this chevron-front tallboy for its clean lines and warm bamboo tone - it adds texture without overwhelming a small bathroom. It suits Scandi, coastal or modern-minimal schemes, pairing easily with white tiles and matte black or brass fittings. For styling, use the open shelves for neatly folded towels or woven baskets to corral toiletries, then hide extra loo rolls and cleaning products behind the slatted door. Top it with a small plant or a tray of skincare essentials to keep frequently used items within easy reach.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
