Description

Traditional rattan garden furniture gets an update with our Chevron range. A contemporary chevron pattern is hand-woven with a synthetic weave on powder-coated metal frames. This makes the range both durable and weather-resistant so you can even leave it outside throughout the year. Make sure you bring in the cushions, which are resistant to light rain showers only. The chair frame for this design has been tested to withstand a weight of up to 17 stone (110kg) per chair. The robust design allows the rattan to form its distinctive shape, with the weave ensuring comfortable support. The cushion covers can be unzipped and are washable, with care. Team these with other Chevron garden furniture to create a matching set for a patio or conservatory. Good to know: The range is durable and for outdoor use all year round. As a precaution, we recommend you cover the furniture during adverse weather. Key features: Pair of garden dining chairs Hand-woven synthetic rattan design Robust steel frames Shower-resistant and washable seat pads Fully assembled for immediate use Matches garden furniture in our Chevron range Want to see it first? Our Stylist Says

I love these John Lewis & Partners garden chairs for their sleek, contemporary look that brings a stylish edge to outdoor spaces. The chevron design adds visual interest, making them stand out without feeling bulky, and the black and grey colour palette is versatile enough to complement a range of garden or patio styles-from modern minimalist to more eclectic setups. They work particularly well in urban garden settings or patios with a monochrome or neutral scheme. For styling tips, consider pairing them with a simple, understated dining table, maybe in a natural wood or black finish, and accessorise with cushions in bold colours or patterns to add personality and comfort. These chairs are practical too-they have a lightweight frame for easy manoeuvring, making outdoor dining both functional and stylish.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
