Description

Created using a strong blend of fabrics including cotton and jute for softness and strength, this versatile carpet comes in a geometric inspired triangle design and is finished with relaxed tasseling at either end. With a flat finish making this rug ideal for busy, high-traffic rooms, the materials in this rug have been woven together by hand to create a strong construction. About your new rug We recommend. It prevents your rug from moving underfoot and protects against colour transfer to the floor Natural fibres may shed. This will reduce over time, and shouldn't affect your rug's lifespan or performance When vacuuming your rug, use suction only. Rotating brushes may damage the fibres Blot any spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub or use harsh detergents. Textile backed Jute is a natural fibre meaning colour variance is expected both in its natural form and when dyed. This means each rug could have a slightly different tone, making your new rug unique.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this jute rug’s contemporary take on a geometric pattern; the broken triangles add visual interest without overwhelming the space. It works particularly well in relaxed, boho, or Scandi interiors, where natural textures and neutral tones are key. As it’s made from jute, it’s both durable and eco-friendly, making it suitable for living rooms or dining areas that see regular footfall. To style it effectively, consider pairing with tactile textiles like linen cushions or a wool throw to enhance the natural feel. Keep the colour palette simple and grounding-pair it with warm woods or matte black accents for a balanced, cohesive look. Just bear in mind, as jute tends to be slightly coarse, it may not be the best choice for bedrooms with children or for those prioritising plush comfort.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
