Description

With a clean, modern aesthetic our Bow bedroom furniture range is made from predominantly solid oak and oak veneers that lend a durable and visually striking finish. This Bow bed frame is designed with an attractive slatted headboard, as well as a sprung slatted base that will help to support you and your mattress throughout the night. The Oak option showcases the natural grain of the wood, while the sleek painted finish of the White option is a considered choice for modern bedroom decor. Worth Knowing Maximise your storage options with underbed drawers. Pictured with this bed frame, they are not included but available to purchase separately, only in Oak. Please note: Not all of our ranges are on display in our furniture departments. Please call to check before you visit.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the bow slatted bed for its clean lines and oak-veneer finish, which adds warmth without feeling bulky. The simple, low-profile frame works especially well in Scandi, Japandi or coastal schemes, and the open headboard lets just enough of your wall colour or wallpaper peek through for a subtle backdrop. The sturdy slats give reliable support without the need for an additional base, and the raised legs help the room feel more spacious. For styling, layer neutral linens with a chunky throw and a couple of cushions in natural fabrics to keep the look relaxed. Flank the bed with sleek bedside tables and minimalist wall lights to maintain the open, airy feel, then introduce greenery - a potted plant or trailing ivy - to soften those straight edges. If you want a touch of colour, swap out one cushion or a throw rather than overhauling your walls.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
