Description

Good to know: For use with the John Lewis & Partners Deckchair Frame, sold separately. Designed in a contemporary sailing boat print, this deckchair sling is made of a heavyweight fabric that's resistant to colour fading and is machine washable for easy cleaning. We've included instructions on the packaging for assembling the sling. Ensure the slightly wider end is fitted to the top of your deckchair. Sling length: 113cm, width: 44/49cm. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this boat sails print deckchair sling because of its lively, nautical-inspired design that adds a fresh touch to any outdoor space. It works particularly well in coastal or contemporary garden settings, where its blue and multi-coloured pattern can complement natural or crisp colour schemes. For styling tips, try pairing it with neutral garden furniture to let the print stand out, or incorporate soft cushions in complementary shades for extra comfort. It’s a versatile piece that can be used as a statement accent or as part of a relaxed, seaside-inspired aesthetic. Practicality-wise, its sling design makes it both lightweight and easy to fold away, making it ideal for flexible outdoor living.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
