Description

Product Information With a slim build and tapered legs, the Bailey range comes in a wide choice of sizes, offering a versatile solution for your home. This is our high back version, offering even more support. Less foam for improved sustainability We've reduced the foam content in our Bailey range and now use a mix of recycled PET bonded fibres in the main body. This still gives the same soft and supportive feel, but has the added benefit that these fibres can be recycled or repurposed at their end of life. It's the little things At John Lewis & Partners we care about our furniture; how it's designed, the materials used and the people who make it. That's why every detail is carefully considered, with more than 20 quality checks, to ensure you're as proud of it as we are. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for this piece of furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

The John Lewis & Partners Bailey is a versatile choice for those seeking a practical yet stylish sofa that doubles as extra sleeping space. I love its clean, understated design in a neutral quartz grey that works well in contemporary, minimalist, or Scandi-inspired interiors. The high back offers excellent support and a sense of cosiness, while the light leg detail adds a touch of softness and height to the piece. For styling, pair it with textured cushions and a throw in contrasting colours or patterns to bring in personality. It works well in open-plan living spaces or guest rooms, and its neutral hue makes it easy to integrate with various colour schemes. A smart, functional option that's equally at home in relaxed family setups or more polished, modern homes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
