Description

The rich, smoky scent of chestnuts roasting on a crackling fire. Seasoned with nutmeg, cinnamon and clove and sweetened with soft caramel. Crafted in the British countryside in a limited-edition design. Burn time approx. 44 hours. Lid included. For optimum use and to prevent wax tunnelling, burn the candle until the wax has melted and pooled to the edge. Use the lid to extinguish the flame. Allow candle to solidify before re-lighting. Trim the wick between uses, ensuring it is no longer than ¼ inch/6mm. Protect the surface on which the candle rests. Do not burn for longer than four hours at a time. Do not leave unattended or within reach of children or pets.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Jo Malone candle for its warm, comforting scent, which adds a cosy and sophisticated touch to any space. It works particularly well in neutral or minimalist interiors, where its understated elegance can shine, but it also complements more traditional or rustic settings thanks to its seasonal aroma. Practical styling tips would be to keep it on a centred tray or alongside a mix of textured accessories like ceramic vases or woven baskets to create a layered, inviting look. This candle looks especially thoughtful as a feature on coffee tables, sideboards, or open shelves in living rooms or bedrooms, adding ambient glow and scent without overpowering the decor.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
