Description

Perfect for smaller spaces, the Jerry white 2 door sideboard is a distinctive design with feature legs in solid whitened oak and a durable melamine top. The sideboard has oak-veneered sides and painted doors with oak handles. Designed in house by Matthew Long and exclusive to Habitat, the sideboard is part of the Jerry dining range, which includes an extending dining table and chairs in a variety of colours.

Our Stylist Says

I love this sideboard for its clean, minimalist aesthetic and the warm touch of oak contrasting with the white finish. It works particularly well in modern or Scandi-inspired interiors where simplicity and functionality are key. The two-door design offers practical storage without feeling bulky, making it ideal for organising tableware, linens, or even media equipment in a living or dining room. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with natural textures like woven baskets or ceramic accessories, and keep the top surface clutter-free for a sleek finish. This piece is versatile enough to blend into both neutral-toned schemes and more colourful, eclectic spaces, adding a calm, organised focal point.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
