Description

The Jerry 4-8 seat oak extending dining table perfectly fuses classic and contemporary deisgn with an oak-veneered top and lacquered white-oiled solid oak feature legs. Designed in house and exclusive to Habitat, the table is great for smaller spaces and can easily extend into an 8 seater for impromptu guests and dinner parties. The extending leaf is stored underneath the table top and can easily be pulled out. The table, also available with a white-lacquered top, is part of the Jerry dining collection which includes storage solutions and chairs available in a choice of colours with metal or oak legs.

Our Stylist Says

I love this dining table for its clean, minimalist aesthetic and versatile oak finish, making it a great centrepiece in contemporary or Scandi-inspired interiors. Its extendable design is practical for versatile living, easily accommodating extra guests when needed. It works particularly well in neutral-toned spaces, complemented by light wood or muted colour schemes, but can also be dressed up with bold chairs or statement tableware for a more eclectic look. For styling tips, consider pairing it with sleek, modern chairs for a streamlined look, or use textured table runners and centrepieces like candles or simple vases to add warmth and personality. Its understated design makes it adaptable to both casual family spaces and more formal dining areas.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
