Description
A colourful floral print, 'Unity' by artist Jeanette Vertentes. Made in the UK, this glazed print is presented with a window mount in a grey wood-effect frame, ready to hang on your wall. Jeanette Vertentes is a contemporary painter who lives and works in North Stonington, Connecticut. Her colourful paintings pay homage to the area in which she lives, her beautiful gardens and the wide, endless sea. Joy and movement characterise her distinctive personal style, and her use of colour expresses her vibrant spirit. She is known for large-scale, rich paintings, bringing to life picturesque landscapes, beautiful seascapes, floral still lifes, different animals and vast farm fields through contrasting and harmonious colours and bold compositions. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Art with a concentration in painting from Rhode Island College. This program gave her an extensive knowledge on colour theory and composition. For 15 years, she owned a very successful interior design and custom furniture company. She sold that business to focus solely on artwork and painting - her first love. Jeanette has been painting full time in her studio since 2012, surrounded by her dogs and her garden. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
Our Stylist Says
The Jeanette Vertentes 'Unity' print is a fantastic statement piece with its vibrant floral design and sizeable scale, making it ideal for creating a focal point in a living room or dining area. I love how the mix of colours can complement both neutral and colourful schemes, bringing energy and sophistication to a space. Its framed mount gives it a polished finish, perfect for hanging above a sofa or console table. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist furnishings to let the artwork stand out, or grouping it with other botanical accessories for a layered, gallery-style look. Its large size makes it best suited to spacious interiors, but it can also serve as a hero piece in more intimate rooms if balanced with simpler decor.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
