Description

This Jared 2 light with PIR is a sleek and stylish piece which has a modern design and appearance. The simple structure carries a classy feel, while still being practical and efficient. This light has motion sensors, meaning the light comes on when it senses movement outdoors. This piece is excellent for outdoor use due to the IP44 rating. The stainless-steel finish is a popular look at the minute, contributing to the sophistication and modernist feel of the light.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this wall light for its sleek, modern look and its practical PIR sensor, which adds security without sacrificing style. Its stainless steel finish makes it versatile and durable, perfect for contemporary or minimalist exteriors. It works especially well in smart, understated gardens or entrances where clean lines are key. For styling, I’d recommend positioning it at eye level or slightly above doorways for optimal illumination, and pairing it with other stainless or natural materials like stone or wood to create a cohesive outdoor aesthetic. Its unobtrusive design ensures it complements rather than dominates, making it a smart choice for anyone looking to combine function with a polished finish.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
