Description

Add an extra security feature to the outside of your home with the Jared Outdoor Up or Down Wall Light with PIR Sensor. This outdoor wall light comes in a stunning contemporary stainless steel finish and is IP44 rated to ensure water resistance against outdoor weather conditions. It also features a PIR motion sensor to detect movement outside your home and switch the light on automatically, and can be used as an up or a down light, offering a versatile lighting solution.

Our Stylist Says

This wall light is a great choice for creating a sleek, functional outdoor space. I love how the stainless steel finish offers a contemporary feel that’s easy to pair with modern or industrial exteriors. Its PIR sensor makes it practical for safety and security, while the compact design ensures it doesn’t overpower architectural features. For styling, consider placing it by entrance points or along pathways for a clean, streamlined look. Pairing it with minimalist outdoor furniture or modern landscaping can enhance its urban appeal. To get the most out of it, position the sensor to cover high-traffic areas and make sure the light is high enough to avoid direct glare into windows or neighbouring spaces.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
