Flowers bloom and burst into colour in this strikingly beautiful picture by Jane Morgan. A light gel has been applied by hand to protect the print from dirt and dust and evens out the final appearance leaving a shiny, slightly stippled finish. Made in the UK, this unglazed print has a window mount and a cream limed-effect frame, ready to hang on your wall. Jane Morgan is a self-taught artist. Born in Cornwall in 1966, the daughter of two successful architects, she was encouraged from an early age in her love of drawing and painting. Jane paints with watercolour, gouache and acrylics to capture the beauty of the Somerset countryside where she has lived for over thirty years while raising four children with her husband. Jane started painting seriously when space for a home studio became available as the children moved out. She has been delighted with the response to work, selling originals and prints throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. “I lose myself when I am painting, completely absorbed in my happy bubble, enjoying the colours and shapes forming on my canvas. It is that uplifting feeling I want to capture and share, to bring a smile to your face and light up your home,” says Jane. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this piece for its fresh, cheerful palette and the way it brings a touch of nature into any space. Its sizeable horizontal format makes it ideal for features like above a sofa or bed, where it can anchor a room’s decor. The pinks and multi-tones are surprisingly versatile, working well in both modern and slightly more traditional interiors. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral surroundings to let the artwork stand out or complementing it with soft textiles in similar hues for a cohesive look. It also works well in bright, airy rooms or those with a bit of botanical influence, adding colour and personality without overwhelming the space.
