Description
Simon Legald delivers up a new cheerful, contemporary version of the classic curtain cabinet. Like the old writing desks or industrial filing cabinet furniture, this chiffonier comes with a coloured plastic curtain door. The multitude of articulated slats form a repetitive pattern that’s geometric and highly graphic. To create this curtain door, the Danish designer had several sources of inspiration: the links of watch straps, the furniture of the 50s and even the travelators in airports! The door slides flexibly in its entirety up and down to give access to 100% of the furniture’s contents. The curtain is mounted on a fully concealed runner. Reminiscent of the raw aesthetics of the industrial world, the slatted curtain is brought fully up to date using trendy colours and their combination with natural wood. The mixture of materials is really appealing: the coloured curtain forms a wonderful contrast with the light oak. You’ll love the modern urban style of this storage unit that can be used anywhere in the house: it can take binders and supplies in an office, plates and glasses in the kitchen, books in the living room or beauty products in the bathroom.
