Description

It all starts with Printemps… For the launch of its new platform at the end of March 2022, the Printemps brand is unveiling a new identity based around three colours: green and white, punctuated with a few touches of gold. To celebrate the return of Printemps (French for Spring), discover exclusive collaborations showcasing this new chromatic range, and in particular green available in all its tones. To mark the occasion, the iconic design pieces and future must-haves of the season are all dressed in green: these special, exclusive editions in the colours of Printemps are unique gifts for design fans. Some limited edition pieces are future collectors’ items. Step inside "The Wrong Shop" art gallery: a comprehensive selection of exclusive posters that will appeal to fans of graphic design and visual arts! Created by English designer Sebastian Wrong, the brand creates designs and prints by influential artists, designers and architects. These exceptional-quality prints are unique and affordable true works of art. Hailed as a visionary and one of the most creative icons of the past decade, Jaime Hayon is at the forefront of a new wave that has blurred the lines between art and design and brought a renaissance to high-quality manufactured objects, deeply embedded in the context of contemporary design culture. For The Wrong Shop, the famous Spanish designer has created a poster with abundant, playful patterns: "Animalothèque". The fluid, intuitive lines represent a fantastic collection of beasts made up of chimerical animals and characters. Jaime Hayon's whimsical world is expressed through this cast of disturbing and fascinating creatures, a fusion of real and imaginary animals. Animalothèque evokes the magic and imagination of the art of African tribes or Australian Aborigines. The incredibly fine, tortuous strokes reveal extraordinary complexity. Jaime Hayon: “I don’t set myself any limits, which is why there is so much art in my design and so much design in my art”. Jaime Hayon is today one of the world's most acclaimed designers. Time Magazine named Hayon one of the 100 essential designers of our time, and Wallpaper Magazine one of the most influential designers. This poster comes unframed. Also available with a black wooden frame.

Our Stylist Says

The Jaime Hayon x The Wrong Shop poster is a playful yet sophisticated piece that works well in contemporary or eclectic interiors. I love how its whimsical illustrations bring a sense of humour and personality, making it perfect for lounging areas, kids’ rooms, or even a creative workspace. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with simple frames and keeping surrounding decor minimal to let the artwork stand out. It also pairs nicely with muted wall colours or neutral palettes, allowing the design's subtle details and finishes, like the hints of gold, to really pop. Practical tip: layer it with other curated artworks or place it alongside a sleek shelf with curated objects for a lively, personalised vignette.
