Description

Let your books do the talking whilst industrial styling quietly takes the back seat, with thanks to this bookshelf from HOMCOM. Using metal for everyday strength and durability in your home, the frame is crafted into a unique design, featuring three full-size shelves and three smaller in-between platforms, providing plenty of room over different levels for clever organisation, with the melamine particleboard shelves providing resilience against everyday use. With attachments on the back to prevent the unit from toppling over (if attached properly), it is finished with footpads for damage protection. A contemporary approach to home organisation.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this industrial shelving unit because its black metal frame and warm, distressed wood offer a clean yet characterful look that anchors a room without overwhelming it. It suits urban lofts, modern farmhouse interiors and even pared-back Scandi schemes, thanks to that timeless mix of metal and wood. For styling, I’d alternate books laid flat with upright volumes, slot in a couple of woven baskets on lower shelves for clutter control, and add a trailing plant to soften the angles. Keep at least one shelf lightly dressed - a single framed print or sculptural object - to let the piece’s structure stand out, then build up texture and height variation elsewhere.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
