Description
Industrial style pendant lights bring a simplistic yet immensely stylish feature into your lighting setup. A mechanical style bulb holder hangs from a black braided cable, with a bronze finish adding a retro twist to the design. For a raw, robust look, try using a vintage style bulb in this fitting – this’ll give a bolder and more eye-catching look to the pendant!.
Our Stylist Says
I like this industrial-style ceiling pendant for its raw, utilitarian appeal and the warm bronze finish, which adds a touch of sophistication. It's particularly well-suited to urban, loft-style interiors or spaces aiming for an edgy, contemporary look. The twisted cable design reinforces its industrial vibe while offering flexibility in height adjustments for customised pendant placement. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with exposed brick walls or minimalist furniture to emphasise its modern, industrial roots. Practical tips include hanging it over a dining table or kitchen island for regulatory task lighting, and keeping surrounding decor understated to let the pendant become a statement piece.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
