I love these nest of tables for their mix of warm wood-effect tops and slim black metal legs - they bring an industrial edge without ever feeling bulky. The smaller table tucks neatly underneath, so you can pop it out for extra surface when you’re entertaining or needing a bit of extra room.
They work brilliantly in loft-style living rooms or pared-back, Scandi-inspired schemes, especially against neutral sofas and pale walls. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
