Our Stylist Says
I love this hallway coat rack bench with shoe storage because of its practical yet stylish design, perfect for creating an organised entranceway. The mix of walnut brown and black lends a contemporary industrial feel, making it versatile enough to work in both modern and vintage-inspired interiors. It’s great for spaces where functionality is key - offering hooks for coats, a bench for sitting while putting on footwear, and multiple shoe shelves to keep the floor clutter-free. To style it, consider adding a couple of decorative baskets or a small tray on the bench for keys and everyday items, plus a tidy display of shoes below for a crisp, lived-in look. It works particularly well in urban apartments or industrial-style hallways, adding practicality without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
