I’m a big fan of the wheel console table for adding a hint of industrial character without overwhelming a space. Its light-wood top and black steel wheels sit neatly in urban lofts, modern farmhouses or any entry hall needing a sturdy focal point.
Styling-wise, balance its utilitarian lines by layering a slim runner or jute mat on the shelf below and grouping a small cluster of ceramic vases or a low planter on top. A round mirror above echoes the wheel motif and keeps the look cohesive, while wicker baskets on the lower tier provide concealed storage and a softer texture.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
