It sits neatly beneath a large mirror or a wall of framed prints, and its generous 180 cm length still leaves room for everyday essentials like a lamp, a small plant and a catch-all dish for keys and post. Styling tip: keep accessories grouped in odd numbers and vary the heights - for example, a tall lamp at one end, a medium-height sculpture in the centre and a low tray or vase at the other. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
