Description

Our collection of artisan made solid wood frames provide the perfect backdrop for photographs, keepsakes and all forms of artwork from collage and paintings, to children's unique masterpieces. Each frame can be hung either portrait or landscape. To frame your artwork or image, slide the piece of glass out carefully. Arrange and attach your artwork and slide the glass back into position.

Our Stylist Says

I love theIndu wooden frame because it offers a warm, natural touch that complements both contemporary and rustic interiors. Its mango wood construction brings a subtle earthy tone, making it versatile for settings like living rooms, bedrooms, or even cosy reading nooks. Stylistically, it works particularly well in pared-back minimalist spaces when combined with neutral tones, or in boho interiors layered with textures and natural materials. For practical styling, consider grouping multiple frames in a gallery wall for visual interest or placing a single one above a sideboard for understated charm. Keep the imagery simple or natural; dried botanicals as shown in the photo are a lovely match that echoes the organic feel of the wood.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
