Born to two artists, Ilona Drew grew up in a creative environment and both her mother's and father's work still have a huge influence on her own. She learnt valuable skills from working in the greeting card industry about making her own design decisions and about creating unique, eye-catching work. She is always pushing herself to experiment with her work and striving to create something different that stops people and, most importantly, creates a feeling of happiness. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
