I’m a fan of this yellow cord armchair because its soft, ribbed fabric adds both texture and a cheerful pop of colour without feeling too fussy. It sits equally well in a pared-back Scandi playroom or a mid-century style lounge, bridging the gap between childish fun and grown-up good looks.
To style it, tuck a small, contrasting cushion into the back for extra support and balance the brightness with natural-wood furniture or a neutral rug. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
