"Art deco style for this refined and minimalist lamp composed of one blown glass sphere balancing on a fine metal holder with sharp angles. A sculptural and sophisticated light construction exploring the theme of balance. Michael Anastassiades, a Cypriot designer based in London explains: ""I came across a video of a juggler. He was spinning a set of balls, moving them along his arms to his fingertips. And as I was fascinated by the magic of his art, suddenly the balls seemed perfectly still. I wanted to capture this precise moment. It was my starting point. "". The initials IC come from the codes that the English police use in their reports to define the ethnic background of people who they stop in the street: IC1 for a Northern European individual, IC2 for an Hispanic person, IC3 for an Afro-Caribbean person, etc. It is a fun way of defining the different models of this collection. ".
I love the IC S2 Pendant for its sleek, minimalist design that blends form with function effortlessly. Its clean black and white palette makes it versatile enough to suit a variety of interiors, from modern industrial spaces to Scandi-inspired schemes. It’s particularly effective when hung over kitchen islands, dining tables, or as a statement piece in a minimalist living room. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other monochrome or matte finishes to keep the look cohesive, or cluster a few for a more dramatic effect. Its simple geometric shape works well with contemporary furniture and adds a subtle architectural touch without overwhelming the space.
