Art deco style for this refined and minimalist lamp composed of a blown-glass sphere balancing on a fine metal holder with sharp angles. A sculptural, sophisticated light construction that explores the notion of balance. Michael Anastassiades, a Cypriot designer based in London explains: "I came across a video of a juggler. He was spinning a set of balls, moving them along his arms to his fingertips. And as I was fascinated by the magic of his art, suddenly the balls seemed perfectly still. I wanted to capture this precise moment. It was my starting point. " The initials IC come from the codes that the English police use in their reports to define the ethnic background of people who they stop in the street: IC1 for a Northern European individual, IC2 for an Hispanic person, IC3 for an Afro-Caribbean person, etc. It is a fun way of defining the different models of this collection.
The IC F2 floor lamp is a sleek, contemporary piece that effortlessly blends form and function. I love how its minimalist design, with bold white and red accents, makes it a statement while remaining versatile enough for various interiors. It’s particularly suited to modern and Scandinavian-inspired schemes, adding a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include placing it beside a reading chair or in a corner to serve as both ambient and task lighting. Its elongated height makes it ideal for taller ceilings or to create visual interest in open-plan living areas. Keep surrounding decor simple to let the lamp’s clean lines and colour contrast shine-it's a chic choice for elevating any contemporary interior.
